Today, early February, our apprentice Dean and I are off to one of our very local producer/suppliers, The Wooden Spoon. This is as local a producer as we get, as they are a mere 0.6 miles from us door to door.
It is now the end of January and we are off for our second visit of the month to meet another one of our local producers. We are not sure what it says about us but it is yet another drinking visit. This time we head out in the gorgeous sunshine, a perfect day for walking rolling hills, unfortunately we are headed for a very different location this time. We are going to the docks, Chatham docks to be exact.
First on our ventures came Hush Heath in the gorgeous setting of Goudhurst. We set off on a quite miserable January afternoon to take a tour of the Vineyards with our host Cheryl. When we arrived at the Vineyard for our tour the weather had not improved but spirits high we were welcomed warmly into the vineyard and soon set off on our walk.
